My first week in Japan I decided to sleep 9 nights at Kyoto and that’s why I chose the Kyogura Nijo. Want to know how I organized my trip to Japan, read here! Great location, next to a JR station, cheap and spacious room. I chose this hotel, also because from Nijo Station it is very convenient to take the train to Nara or Osaka and use the Japan rail pass, without buying another card for Kyoto transports. Check my 15 days itinerary in Japan to know everything about my Japanese trip.
- Nara from Nijo = 1h15, 1 change at the Kyoto station. Sagano line + Nara line.
- Osaka (Shin-Osaka Station) from Nijo = 1h15, 1 change at the Kyoto station. Sagano line + Tokaido-Sanyo Line.
- Kanazawa from Nijo = 2h40, 1 change at the Kyoto station.
- Miyajima from Nijo = 2h40, 3 changes + ferry. One change at the Kyoto station + Hiroshima station + Miyajimaguchi station + ferry.
ROOMS
For a total of 9 nights, I paid 71,000 yen which is approx € 600. The room cleaning goes apart, but on each floor, there is a very comfortable vacuum cleaner that you can use at any time. All guest rooms like air conditioning, microwave, fridge, kettle, bidet, hairdryer, and a desk and free WiFi in all rooms. Book the hotel here on Booking.com!
They do not offer the possibility of breakfast, there is only a vending machine at the entrance. In the shopping center in front of the hotel, you can have breakfast with 700 yen (coffee + combined dish). Check here the Kyoto food guide.
FACILITIES
The Kyogura Nijo hotel is a 2 * hotel but it offers all the comforts of a 4 * hotel. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage for guests. Children and pets are not allowed, it is a very quiet hotel, and no noise is heard.
If you decided to spend many nights they have a washing machine and it is very comfortable. The price is 200 yen and to use the dryer is 100 yen. The hotel has a lift and can be accessed with an access code.
Moreover, if available, Kyogura Nijo gives the possibility to rent bicycles for free (indicate this when booking). Book the hotel here on Booking.com!
