The last time I was in Tossa de Mar I discovered a real gem, the Casa Granados Boutique Hotel. A boutique hotel in the middle of the old neighborhood of Tossa de Mar, only 1h20 from Barcelona, perfect for special occasions and not.
TOSSA DE MAR:
Tossa de Mar is located in the Costa Brava area, easy to get from any airport, most of them from England and Russia, who often buy their homes here. This small village of even 10,000 inhabitants remains my favorite in the Costa Brava.
I come back every year because I find it relaxing, the ticket from Barcelona costs only € 25 return. If you like snorkeling or diving there are several places to rent equipment or rent a kayak and go around the beaches.
CASA GRANADOS BOUTIQUE HOTEL:
I stayed at the Casa Granados Boutique on the night of San Juan, a Catalan celebration, where fireworks of all kinds are fired. Personally, I do not like this party so I looked for a quiet place, and I have to say that I found one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever seen.
Prices range from € 280 for a double room to a suite € 300, check out at 12am, breakfast included but light and good coffee made at the time. In my case, I chose a suite, including bathrobes and towels for the pool, coffee shop and 24-hour room service.
OUTDOORS:
The outdoor areas of the hotel are its strong point, the pool is clean and surrounded by a precious garden. You can also receive messages (not for free), or try the sauna.
The terrace gives to the main beach of Tossa de Mar and to the side part of the castle, where it is possible to have a drink or simply to rest after the swimming pool.
THE RESTAURANT:
Can Sophia is the restaurant of the hotel, number 1 in the Tripadvisor ranking in Tossa de Mar. The Chef, Josep Pagès, change the menu constantly, but the quality/price is excellent. I had lunch in the restaurant and I agree with the number 1. The decoration of the restaurant is fine and elegant, and the service is great. Do you want to book a table?
