3 days in Priorat: Taste and enjoy

Priorat is a very small and mountainous area in the interior of the province of Tarragona, crossed by the basins of the rivers Siurana, Montsant, and Cortiella, we spend 3 days at Priorat. In the Priorat region, wine tourists can find more than just fine wines and wineries to visit. There’s also a wide variety of landscapes, inviting visitors to explore and discover the area on the DOQ Priorat Wine Route, the DO Montsant Wine Route and the Olive Oil Route.

Falset

Falset has an agricultural cooperative housed in an Art Nouveau building built in 1919 by the architect from Valls Cèsar Martinell, a disciple of Gaudí. It is one of the most outstanding wineries in Catalonia.

The castle was built atop a hill in the 12th century. It was the residence of the Counts of Prades and two queens were born there: Eleanor of Cyprus and Margaret of Prades. From 1825 it was used as a prison for over a century. It currently houses the museum.

In Gratallops you can taste the Buil & Gine winery.
