The eighth edition of the Christmas Village in Andorra la Vella offers a wide range of activities, spectacular traveling shows and decorations filled with magic to enchant old and young alike.
The official opening of the Christmas Village will take place at 6:00 pm on Friday 24 November with the switching-on of the Christmas lights. The Christmas Market will open at 7:30 pm, followed by a unique fireworks display at 8:00 pm.
At 8:30 pm on Saturday 25 November visitors can enjoy the première of “Colours of the Mountain”, the new choreographed music and water show at the fountains on Passeig de la Rotonda.
Christmas time in Andorra
The ideal place to shop and buy gifts for the festive period, while enjoying games and cultural activities for all the family. From 24 November to 31 December, the Christmas Market in Plaça del Poble will be open on Thursday and Friday evenings and all day (from midday onwards) at weekends and on public holidays. Additionally, the square will once again host an ice-skating rink for children.
“Neret After Shopping”, a unique space offering chill-out music and delicious food, will also be opening its doors in Plaça del Poble. Take a break and treat yourself to a gourmet sandwich, a bowl of nachos or an Argentinian empanada while enjoying live music from Andorran bands and DJs.
The Menairons’ Magical Post Office is located in Plaça Guillemó, where little ones can post their letters to Father Christmas and the Three Wise Men as well as take part in workshops and activities. Additionally, in Plaça del Poble they can take a spin on the ice-skating rink and visit the Caga Tió (Yule Log). The Christmas Park in the square by the old fire station will include a carousel and swing ride, while the Menairons’ treasure hunt will once again test the youngsters’ ingenuity, with a prize for those who find the five Menairons hidden around Andorra la Vella.

In addition to the children’s activities, the Christmas Park will feature a new light and sound installation, which will offer various animations with Christmas choreographies every nightfall, during the Village.
Travelling shows along Avinguda Meritxell
Much-anticipated by young and old alike, the spectacular travelling shows will make their way from Avinguda Meritxell to Plaça Príncep Benlloch. 25 November: Phare Ouest, by Tac o Tac; 2 December: Fiers à Cheval, by Quidams; 9 December: Electro Frogs, by Caramantran; 16 December: Candore, by Bambolea; 23 December: Elipsion, by Carromato; and 30 December: Le Voyage Magique, by Stelzen Arts.
