Best place to stay in London

In London there are more than 2000 hotels and apartments available for every budget and tourist, today we analyze the Best place to stay in London. I have visited this city very often and I was lucky enough to be able to live 6 months, I don’t know all the areas of this infinite metropolis but I can give useful advice for your stay. I stayed in an apartment comfortable, central and at a good price.

BEST PLACE TO STAY IN LONDON

Being such a big city knowing where to sleep in London is very important, it will save you time and money. I leave you some advice:

  • Book according to the arrival and departure airport.
  • That it is near at least one bus stop.
  • I don’t recommend hostels unless they have an 8 as a score.
  • Do not book in too central or tourist areas.
  • Try to stay in zone 1 and no further.

HOTEL OR APARTMENT

For every budget, London offers a possibility of accommodation, although I generally don’t recommend hostels and pensions, which are cheap but very often not too clean. The hotel, on the other hand, is perfect for those with no budget problems, given that even the most central 3-star hotel costs around € 100/150 per night.

I sincerely for medium-low budgets I always recommend an apartment, there are many apartments scattered around the city. I find it an excellent option given the prices for “living” in London. An apartment allows you to have at least a lunch or breakfast for very little.

VICTORIA STATION

The airline I usually use is Easyjet, which arrives and departs from Gatwick airport. From there you can take the Gatwick Express (book here the tickets) which leaves you at Victoria Station in 30 minutes. Personally, it is the area that I always choose to stay I find it comfortable and not expensive at all.

The connections from Victoria Station are many, trains, subways and buses. From here you have at 10min walk, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, Westminster Abbey, and London Eye.

Another reason why I chose to book in the Victoria area is the bus station, from which many day trips leave, including a visit to the Warner Bros Studio Tour London: The Making of Harry Potter.
