DAY 2 CHEFCHAOUEN

My trip to Morocco started right here, in Chefchaouen, the blue pearl of Africa. The first stop was here, one of the most shared destinations on Instagram. The blue houses are the most famous things in this small country dispersed in the Rif mountainsMore info about Chefchaouen…

DAY 3 VOLUBILIS AND MEKNES

First stop of the day Volubilis, a Roman archaeological site, located at the foot of Mount Zerhoun. 27 km north of Meknès and 80 km north-east of the Atlas.

Before leaving for Fez we stop at Meknes is the most recent of the four imperial cities and was the capital of Morocco before this honor was given to Fèz. The gate of Meknes is one of the most famous and visit in Morocco. After this short stop, we leave for Fez.

DAY 4 FEZ

On the fourth day we stop in the chaotic Fez, not loved by everyone because it is still very rough in terms of tourism. Unlike Marrakech, it is not possible to go around alone in the evening, and a tour with a guide is recommended due to the heaviness of the vendors. More info about Fez

DAY 5 IFRAN AND ERFOUD

We walk towards the desert but first, we make two stops: Ifran and Erfoud. The trip from Ifran & Erfoud to the desert (Merzouga) is one of the most complete trips in Morocco. You have the possibility to admire every kind of landscape from the snow to the desert. The transition between the north and the center of the country is noticeable, not many tourists make this journey. We will pass from the Middle Atlas up to cross the High Atlas, which are the mountain ranges of the country. More info…

DAY 6 MERZOUGA

I’m never been in the desert, and I must say that it was one of the parts that I liked the most. The desert of Morocco starts in the central east part of the country, 3 hours drive from FezMerzouga is a small city located in the Sahara desert, near the border with Algeria. At night you can enjoy a spectacular view of the sky with all the constellations in plain sight.

DAY 7/8 MARRAKESH

Marrakesh is an extraordinary city, very different from the other Moroccan cities, today we get lost in one of the most beautiful Medinas of Morocco. I fell in love with this city, I admit, I only had two days to visit Marrakesh but I will definitely come back. Its lights and its colors make this city one of the most beautiful in Africa. After passing by Ouarzazate and having slept in the Sahara desert today I give you some advice about Marrakesh.
