Would you like to wake up in a botanical garden? If you have decided to stay at the Hotel Botanico & The Oriental Spa Garden it is possible. A 5 * hotel 15min walk from Puerto de la Cruz, relaxing and surrounded by nature. Spend a day of your stay in Tenerife in this hotel. HOW TO GET THERE
The Hotel Botanico & The Oriental Spa Garden is located 10 minutes from the center of Puerto de la Cruz. It has a free internal car park and a public outdoor one. In addition, they offer a shuttle that goes from Puerto de la Cruz to the hotel for those who do not want to use the car.
In case you have not rented a car, you can take the bus line 30 and 343 from Tenerife North airport. Duration 20min, departure every 20min. While instead of the airport of Tenerife South you will need only the line 343, duration 1h30 cost of the ticket and timetables here!
BEDS AND BREAKFAST
The rooms are all very large, with a balcony, which can be ocean or spa/garden view. Bathroom with shower and bathtub and bathrobe for the spa, refrigerator, safe. The beds are very large and you can also choose the type of pillow you want to use.
Breakfast is buffet style, tending to be more salty than sweet, very rich, being a 5 * nothing is missing. It is open from 7.30 am to 10.30 am, you can have breakfast in or out in the garden. Coffee is by car or you can ask for a better coffee at the bar. There is the possibility to choose how you want your eggs (omelets or crepes), I recommend the omelet with mushrooms and cheese.
POOLS AND SPA
The best part of the hotel is the pools and the spa. Inside there is a thermal circuit with 2 swimming pools, a whirlpool, various saunas, and Turkish baths. The spa is open from 8 am to 8 pm, obviously, there is the possibility to book a massage or a beauty treatment.
Outside there are 2 pools of warm water and a cave with a very nice hot tub. The hotel organizes day and night activities such as water aerobics. Although these pools are open in winter, thanks to the mild climate enjoyed by Tenerife all year round. The spa and the pools can be used both on the day of check-in and check-out. You can ask at the reception for the late check-in (normally is at 14.00, instead of 12.00).
OTHER SERVICES
The hotel offers 3 types of restaurants, one Asian, one Mediterranean and one slim/healthy. I tried The Oriental, Asian cuisine, very rich and very good dishes, 30€ per person approx. If you don’t feel like leaving the hotel it’s a great option.
For the evening there are recreational activities in the lobby, live music, and shows. If you want to continue with a little relaxation on the floor E there is a billiard room, a library, and a TV room.
