Do you believe in magic? As I read Harry Potter books i immediately know Hogwarts will be forever my special place, no matter as many years passed. I’ve been to London several times and every time I discover something new this is are my Top 10 Harry Potter locations in London.
TOP 10 HARRY POTTER LOCATIONS IN LONDON
- Warner Bros studio
- King’s Cross station
- Piccadilly Circus. This well-known place appears in the first part of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”, when Harry, Ron, and Hermione are teleported to this iconic square known for its illuminated signs.
- Whitehall, where the Great Scotland Yard Street is located. Here was the phone booth where Harry and Mr. Weasley access nothing less than the Ministry of Magic.
- Leadenhall Market, an emblematic market where some scenes recreating Diagon Alley were filmed.
- The Cauldron bar
- London Zoo and visit the reptile house to see where Dudley was trapped behind the glass as the snake escaped.
- Australia house. The Gringotts bank.
- Millennium Bridge. Under attack by the Death Eaters.
- Lambeth Bridge. Remember when in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban the night bus shrunk to pass between two oncoming buses? This scene was shot on this bridge linking Vauxhall and Westminster.
WARNER BROS STUDIO
The mecca of all Harry Potter fans, if you are in London you must visit the Warner Bros Studio Tour London. Opened to the public in 2012, Warner Bros. Studio, Leavesden was home to the filming of all of the Harry Potter films. Just one hour from central London from Victoria station, I have to admit that was one of the best days of my life, it’s an amazing park. Continue reading…
MORE EUROPEAN DESTINATIONS
Edinburgh is very famous for some Harry Potter locations, Victoria Street: inspiration to Diagon Alley. Where the writer began writing some chapters of Harry Potter in The Elephant House, a coffee shop that we will find just a few meters from Victoria Street. Greyfriars Kirkyard cemetery where you will see the grave of one Thomas Riddle.
