If you have your suitcases ready for Barcelona this post is for you. I will explain how to get to Barcelona from EL PRAT’s airport. After Madrid, Barcelona has the second airport most visited in Spain, connected by hundreds of air companies every day. And if it isn’t enough you can land at Girona Airport o Reus airport.
ARRIVAL:
Bienvenidos in Barcelona, the city of Gaudí, Miró, Sardana and Castellers …
THE FASTER WAY TO GET TO BARCELONA:
AEROBUS: the easiest, quickest and most convenient way to get downtown. Better to buy a return ticket is cheaper than buying them separately, no matter how much you are in Barcelona, the ticket has a deadline of 15 days from the validation. Part of both terminals every 5 minutes and will bring you to Barcelona in 35 minutes. Single ticket € 5.90, return € 10.20.
A1 = Line connecting the terminal 1 with the center, making the following stops España square, Gran Via-Urgell, Universidad square and then finishing at Catalunya square. To get to the stop just follow the signs BUS.
A2 = Line connecting Terminal 2 (stops at T2-A, T2-B for Ryanair and Norwegian, and T2-C for Easyjet) with the center, making the following stops España square, Gran Via-Urgell, Universidad square and then finish in Catalunya square.
The Aerobus circulates 365 days a year and from 5.35 am to 1 am, you can buy a ticket online or at the moment, however, that it is not possible to pay by credit/debit card on the bus, only cash and with a banknote maximum of € 20.
TAXI: The taxi ride can cost from € 27 if your destination is España square, € 35 for Cataluña square etc. Suitcase supplement around € 2.50.
THE CHEAPEST WAY:
LINE 46: The single ticket costs € 2.20 (there is no round-trip option) This is the bus line used by the premises, considering that zone 1, this means that you can use your T-10 without problems. The line starts at T1 (the stop is behind the Aerobus) passes from T2-A, T2-B for Ryanair and Norwegian, and T2-C for Easyjet flights and then make several stops before arriving at Pl. España where it ends line. Travel time 45 min from T1, 35 min from T2. It is not possible to pay by credit/debit card on the bus, only cash is accepted and with a maximum of € 20. For more information visit the TMB site.
THE WORST WAY:
METRO L9: The most inconvenient method to get to the city center. Convenient only for those who must reach the Fira, there is a stop on purpose. I do not even recommend for the € 4.60 price, it is not possible to use a T-10 or single ticket.
TRAIN R2: Other means that I discourage, the price, approx € 4, time to get to the train stop, 200m walk from T2 and waiting time. The train stops in order are Barcelona Sants, Paseo de Gracia, Barcelona Clot d’Aragó and Estación de Francia.
DEPARTURE:
Your stay in Barcelona is over, I hope you enjoyed it, sure that yes
Have a good turning back… y Hasta pronto…
