Portofino is the most famous tourist resort in Liguria and Italy. Famous for its worldly life, is distinguished by summer tourism with many hotels, restaurants, and shops that meet all requirements. The gastronomic and handicraft offer is famous for the fusion of natural and man-made architecture. The attractiveness of this wonderful place is linked to the layout of the houses, the colours, the reflections of the sea.
PORTOFINO
The village and its surroundings constitute the Natural Park of Portofino, under protection since 1935, which is well worth a walk along its 70 kilometres of paths, offering one of the most beautiful views of the Mediterranean.
The village is very fancy and expensive, before to seat in restaurant check prices.
Reaching Portofino by car in the summer months can require a good deal of patience. Some hotels have reserved spaces, but the rest accommodate the occasional visitor, for whom they only have 200 rooms and sometimes there is no room. For this reason, i usually recommend the “Passeggiata dei Baci“.
PASSEGGIATA DEI BACI
The Passeggiata dei Baci is one of the most fascinating nature trails in Italy. Wayfarers will be able to discover the beauty of Liguria, following a path rich in history and scenic views. This experience can be completely free. Moreover, the walk does not involve any difficulties. It is a simple route, suitable for everyone. The only limitation is its length the walk covers 8.5 km.
The Passeggiata dei Baci will officially reopen to the delight of locals and tourists alike. This is a key event in the Portofino calendar, with the mayor kicking off the inaugural walk at Porta di Levante at 6.00 pm. For those who don’t know it yet, the Passeggiata dei Baci is a particularly romantic route that continues all the way to Portofino. It is a dream route, offering postcard-perfect views.
Following the Passeggiata dei Baci (Kisses Walk), on the other hand, you can reach the tourist resort on foot, feeling invigorated and, if you followed the route with your other half, you will gain important romance points for your relationship. Moreover, following the long route is particularly easy. All you have to do is stand on the long red carpet.
