Lisboa card is convenient? Visit Lisbon without stress

Today’s post is dedicated to my last trip to Portugal, in this case to Lisbon, and its proposal for tourists to visit the city with the Lisboa card. I do not usually buy this type of cards, but for Lisbon I decided to try, evaluating the pros and cons.

The cost of the card is € 19/1 day € 32/2 days € 42/3 days, valid from the moment you purchase it until the end of the purchased hours. Buy it Here!

It can be bought at the Lisbon airport (which is where I advise you to buy it) and in the tourist information points of the city, you can buy it online but you still have to physically withdraw it.

WHAT INCLUDES THE LISBOA CARD:

TRANSPORTS:

PROS = includes metro, bus, trams, CARRIS lifts, Sintra – Rossio – Oriente line, Cascais – Cais do Sodré line. From the Lisbon airport you can take the metro, includes in the price.

CONS = no cons. Doing a calculation of how much it costs to use the means of transport (without counting the train of Sintra that costs 12 €) for 2/3 days will still make you comfortable. The only thing that is not included in the Airbus (25% discount) but you can take the metro to go to the city center.

MUSEUMS:

PROS = includes entry to 28 museums, including Azulejos Museum, National Museum of Machines, Mafra National Palace, MAAT etc…

CONS = most of the museums are included, so no cons. 🙂

ATTRACTIONS:

PROS = There are not many attractions included in the price, for example, we have the Santa Justa elevator, Levre elevator, Jerónimos Monastery, and Belem Tower. Monumental Arch, Parthenon, Monastery of the Battle, Roman Theater, Pimenta Palace, etc…

CONS = Entry to the castle of Sao Jorge and the Monastery of Sao Vicente is not included.

SINTRA DAY TRIP:

PROS = the train ticket is included (which also allows you to avoid the queue at the ticket offices)

CONS = the buildings of Sintra are not included in the price, but in some cases, it is possible to apply the discount:

Pena Palace = € 14, 10% with Lisboa card
Queluz Palace = € 10, 15% with Lisboa card
Regaleira Palace = € 6, 20% with Lisboa card
National Palace = € 10, 10% with Lisboa card

CONCLUSION:

Seen only the amount of transport used are definitely convinced that it is worth only already for this, move without the stress of buying tickets every time is a luxury.

Then if you organize well you have many things included, so in this case, for me, it is YES, I advise you to buy the Lisboa Card. So are you ready to visit Lisbon without stress?
