RESTAURANTS:

It depends on where you are, you can always find a good restaurant. In Barcelona, there are 8.611 restaurants and 3233 are only for Spanish cuisine. Maybe the general recommendation that I can do is stay away from the Ramblas and people who offer you to take a seat, a good restaurant doesn’t do that.

So if you in Passeig de Gracia area I suggest you: El Nacional, Spanish food & elegant €€ – €€€. In the Raval neighborhood, there are: Arume & Cera 23 (Spanish, elegant, €€ – €€€) reservation recommended.

There are 4 Paradeta restaurants, (only seafood €€) normally there is a long queue, I suggest you go to the Sagrada Familia Paradeta is less visited than the others one. In the Gothic neighborhood, there is La Fonda, for a good paella & fideua (no reservation accepted €€), Viana Restaurant (international cuisine €€€) and if there is no table available in front of them there is the Bodega Biarritz 1881.

TIPS TIME! Restaurants in Barcelona are used to manage reservations by the Fork app. Check it! and reserve trough my link and you will win 1000yummy for your first reservation.

FOR TAPAS LOVERS:

Tapas is the typical way to have dinner in Spain, so in Barcelona, you can find tapas in a million ways: Spanish traditional tapas, fusion tapas, Japanese tapas etc XD.

Poble sec and Raval neighborhood are good places to find the bests tapas in Barcelona. For example, Can Eusebio (very cheap, but not elegant), Taps (available only with reservation), Bar Ramon (a classic €€) and Fabrica Moritz (good location €€). Boqueria Market offers good tapas restaurants try it!

Pinchos are a typical dish of North Spain but in Barcelona, there is a street completely dedicates to this kind of food: Carrer Blai in Poble sec neighborhood is very famous.

BRUNCH & SUNDAYS LUNCH:

The chain Brunch & cake is the best, but sadly there is always a long queue outside so try this oneMilk & Benedict BCN are one each other, they offer both a good brunch. Picnic is one of my favorite for his salt brunch. Firebug and Granja Petitbo are both in the right part of the Eixample neighborhood. Ugot does good brunch and I love his cakes.

Some tips for chocolate and donuts lovers: Chok, Donuteria, Cup & Cake, Boldu, Escribá…

FLAMENCO SHOWS:

Flamenco isn’t something typical in Catalonia, but people who came to Spain always wants to see a flamenco show. So for the Flamenco lovers, I suggest you go to Jamboree (10/15 €) every day at 20.30 and at 21.30. If you go to Palacio del Flamenco the price change, you can spend 30/45 including the dinner.

COCKTAIL/BARS LOVERS:

Barcelona offers a lot of bars/lounge bars for a great after dinner. Carrer Joaquim Costa, in the Raval neighborhood, is a street full of gothic bars, Betty Ford, Beirut 37, Bar Olimpic, 33/45. If you want to taste Absinthe Bar Marsella is perfect, an old icon of the city.

If you want to test the real Barcelona, Gracia is a neighborhood in the north of the city, is famous for his terraces and his squares full of people at every hour of the day. Carrer d’Avinyo (Gothic neighborhood) is always a good choice if you want to stay in the city center, visit the Sincopa Bar, Polaroid Bar, Mariachi (Manu Chao bar), Nevermind for skaters lovers, Manchester bar etc…

Another category is the Pastrami Bar, Born area, they offer expensive cocktails, but the quality is very good and if you don’t like, don’t worry they will do it again. Usually, the queue is very large. 🙁

TIPS TIME!! Do you wanna see Barcelona at the top of a hotel? Especially in summer terraces are one of the best options to take a drink. Check the best terrace in Barcelona. 🙂

NIGHTLIFE:

Barcelona is famous all over the world for its festival, Primavera Sound, Sonar, DGTL. There are so many disco and so many types of music.

Bachelorette party, summer vacation, economy vacation go to Opium, Shoko, Pacha, Sutton. In the Porto Olimpic area, 10min from Barceloneta metro stop by taxi or 20min by walk/by bus. Free entrance before 1am with You Barcelona.

My favorites:

  • Fira (Reggaeton/Latin) 15€
  • Apolo (Electronic/Indie/Concerts) starting from 18€
  • Razzamatazz (Electronic/Indie/Concerts) starting from 10€
